Message of Christ

Daily Bible Verse
Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly
as you teach and admonish one another
with all wisdom through psalms, hymns,
and songs from the Spirit,
singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Colossians 3:16 NKJV

Happy Thanksgiving

Please add to your prayers today for those who are suffering mentally, emotionally, spiritually. Today can be a difficult time for many. Those who are spending their first Thanksgiving without a loved one, either because of death, divorce, or distance. Those who are spending this day with family members who are abusive in some way (including emotionally and verbally). Those who are pushing the limits of their physical, emotional, mental abilities in order to spend time with friends and family. Those who are spending this day alone for whatever reason. Pray for this day to be a day of healing and let us bring the peace and calm to the day's festivities as we are His image bearers. Allow others to see our joy that results from knowing Him and trusting in Him. Meditate on your prayers of praise and thanksgiving. When we focus on His blessings, our mood and disposition emanate and emulate the love of Jesus to everyone around us.

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body.
And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing
one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed,
do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:15-17 ESV

Please follow along with our prayer group where we come together with one voice during the 7:00 hour to pray for the people around us. Please join with us this week as we give thanks to our Lord and Saviour.

Daily Bible Verse Colossians 3:1

Colossians 3:1 (NIV)

Since, then, you have been
raised with Christ,
set your hearts on things above,
where Christ is,
seated at the right hand of God.

Daily Bible Verse Colossians 2:8-10

Colossians 2:8-10 (NIV)

See to it that no one takes you captive
through hollow and deceptive philosophy,
which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces
of this world
rather than on Christ.
For in Christ all the fullness
of the Deity lives in bodily form,
and in Christ you have been brought
to fullness.
He is the head over every power and authority.

Daily Bible Verse Colossians 2:6-7

Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV)

Spiritual Fullness in Christ
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continue to live your lives in Him,
rooted and built up in Him,
strengthened in the faith as you were taught,
and overflowing with thankfulness.

Read the Bible in a Year - Week 11

It doesn't take much to make me happy, this week's reading list is one of them. In this one week, we'll be reading from SIX different books of the New Testament: Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, and 2 Thessalonians! How cool is that?

(Personally, I'm still about two full weeks behind on reading, but when I get to this week, I'll be excited about it!)

Week 11
Sunday, March 12             Galatians 1:11 - 4:20
Monday, March 13            Galatians 4:21 - Ephesians 2:10
Tuesday, March 14            Ephesians 2:11 - 5:21
Wednesday, March 15       Ephesians 5:22 - Philippians 2:24
Thursday, March 16           Philippians 2:25 - Colossians 2:10
Friday, March 17               Colossians 2:11 - 1 Thessalonians 2:20
Saturday, March 18           1 Thessalonians 3:1 - 2 Thessalonians 2:17
