Romans 8:28

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,
for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 ESV

*********
Please join me this week in praying for contentment for ourselves and others. May we rest in the hope of Jesus Christ. Pray that those who do not have a personal relationship with Christ come to know Him. Pray that we recognize the daily blessings that God bestows on us. He provides for all of our needs. Let us be thankful for having food, water, shelter, and clothing. Praise God for His unfailing love and grace.

Good courage

For the wages of sin is death,
but the free gift of God is
eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23 ESV

So we are always of good courage.
We know that while we are at home in the body
we are away from the Lord,
for we walk by faith, not by sight.
Yes, we are of good courage,
and we would rather be away from the body
and at home with the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:6-8 ESV

Hope and encouragement

Daily Bible Verse
For whatever things were written before
were written for our learning,
that we through the patience and comfort
of the Scriptures
might have hope.
Romans 15:4 NKJV

Love does no wrong

We are conquerors

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Romans 8:37 (NKJV)

With your heart you believe

For with the heart
one believes unto righteousness,
and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.

Daily Bible Verse Romans 8:1-4

Romans 8:1-4 (NIV)

Why Christ died for us
Therefore, there is now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus,
because through Christ Jesus
the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free
from the law of sin and death.
For what the law was powerless to do
because it was weakened by the flesh,
God did by sending His own Son
in the likeness of sinful flesh
to be a sin offering.
And so He condemned sin in the flesh,
in order that the righteous requirement of the law
might be fully met in us,
who do not live according to the flesh
but according to the Spirit.

Daily Bible Verse Romans 6:8-10

Romans 6:8-10 (NIV)

Now if we died with Christ,
we believe that we will also live with Him.
For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead,
He cannot die again;
death no longer has mastery over Him.
The death He died,
He died to sin once for all;
but the life He lives,
He lives to God.

Daily Bible Verse Romans 6:5-7

Romans 6:5-7 (NIV)

For if we have been united with Him
in a death like His,
we will certainly also be united with Him
in a resurrection like His.
For we know that our old self was
crucified with Him
so that the body ruled by sin
might be done away with,
that we should no longer be slaves to sin—
because anyone who has died
has been set free from sin.

Daily Bible Verse Romans 8:35-39

The theme of bible verses for the last few weeks has been the love of the Triune (God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit). We'll continue with that theme this week and start with a new theme next week. I hope you've enjoyed this collection. I've been pulling verses from the New International Version in the hopes that it will be easier to understand the text. If you have any questions, please email me: cellartreasures@yahoo.com

Romans 8:35-39 (NIV)
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors
through him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life,
neither angels nor demons,
neither the present nor the future,
nor any powers,
neither height nor depth,
nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us
from the love of God that is in
Christ Jesus our Lord.

Daily Bible Verse Romans 5:8

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.

Daily Bible Verse Romans 5:5

Romans 5:5
Now hope does not disappoint,
because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts
by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
