Please add to your prayers today for those who are suffering mentally, emotionally, spiritually. Today can be a difficult time for many. Those who are spending their first Thanksgiving without a loved one, either because of death, divorce, or distance. Those who are spending this day with family members who are abusive in some way (including emotionally and verbally). Those who are pushing the limits of their physical, emotional, mental abilities in order to spend time with friends and family. Those who are spending this day alone for whatever reason. Pray for this day to be a day of healing and let us bring the peace and calm to the day's festivities as we are His image bearers. Allow others to see our joy that results from knowing Him and trusting in Him. Meditate on your prayers of praise and thanksgiving. When we focus on His blessings, our mood and disposition emanate and emulate the love of Jesus to everyone around us.
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body.
And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing
one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed,
do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:15-17 ESV
Please follow along with our prayer group where we come together with one voice during the 7:00 hour to pray for the people around us. Please join with us this week as we give thanks to our Lord and Saviour.
