Pray for our nation

I read this on a church's website and it was perfect for what's on my heart this week, however, it didn't say what version it was. I looked up several and none of them were worded quite this way:
“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray in this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.”
1 Timothy 2:1-5

Compare to NIV:
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,
1 Timothy 2:1-5 NIV

We need this prayer this week for our nation and our fellow Americans. Please join me in praying for all people. Pray for "all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” Pray for peace and unity among God's children that we may celebrate and embrace our differences instead of allowing them to divide us. Pray for softened hearts and open minds, for patience, grace, and mercy.
